Blaze Of Glory
Wendy Caro
Every living being tells a story. Wendy has found that horses, birds, and their environment, are incredible storytellers. Her purpose, and her passion, is to listen, then translate their “tales” through photography. This involves, first, discovering their language by spending many hours observing their physical characteristics, as well as the often-subtle nature of their voices, their behavior and their mannerisms. Wendy travels to their homes and waits for an invitation to listen, then capture the perfect moment, through their songs, their expressions, their actions, or their flight. Sometimes it happens by the side of the road. Sometimes it takes days. Wendy’s photographs are her translation of their stories.
Since 1972, Wendy has been involved in film and photography, receiving formal training at both Boston University (BS in Film) and the New York Institute of Photography. Additionally, Master Classes with renowned photographers Arthur Morris, Bill Silliker, George Lepp, John Cang, Linde Weidhofer, and David Muench, keep her on the cutting edge of photographic styles and techniques. Wendy is also a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professions (NAPP) as well as the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA). Wendy’s images can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States.
